My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Summary:   This collection of stories introduces the dystopian world of 2032 to readers who have yet to read the full novel. And for those of you who have read the novel 2032, there are five brand new stories and two significantly altered stories from the original novel.

I read this because I have the novel 2032 on my Kindle & figured it would be a good place to begin before getting to that story. This short collection of seven short stories was enough to give me a bit of a feel for the world the author is going to show in the novel & pique my interest enough to make me push the full length work to the top of my reading list. As soon as I'm done with this review, I'm off to begin. The stories I liked most were the one set on Island50 & the last. Both were taut glimpses & darker than I expected (honestly, so was the first story). The second & third in the collection felt a bit random (especially the third with the couple) & were extremely short but were easy reads just the same. I think maybe with more context in the full length novel, I'll be able to have a better read on those.
