My rating: 🌟🌟 (2 stars)
I was in the mood for some cozy Christmas themed stories so I dove into this one. I didn't realize when I began that this is a tome. Like seriously, it's over 1K pages. I read it on the Kindle app so no wrist strain but still.
There were some fun novellas in here and all the authors were new to me, so in that regard, I'm glad I read this. On the not so my thing side, many/most of these stories had some sort of magic/witch/ghost element to them and that's not where my cozy mystery feels are. If I'd known this collection was mostly made up of those, I'd have skipped it but then I'd have missed the ones I quite liked. It also seemed that many of the stories were attached to series already running, so if you're a fan of any of these, you'll probably love these stories much more.
My favourites here (and by favourite, I mean, I'm going to seek out the author's books) were:
The Clause Killing: A Lily Sprayberry Realtor Cozy Mystery Christmas Novella by Carolyn Ridder Aspenson
Organized for Christmas Wishes by Ritter Ames
Hark! A Homicide by Tricia L. Sanders
I've rated this as just ok but only because there was a lot that wasn't for me here but I am very glad for the three novellas that I very much enjoyed. They didn't even make up a quarter of the whole so.,, I can't rate this higher. I do recommend the three stories above though. All the Christmas feels with a dash of cozy murder.
